Brief description of the organization:

National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology operates since 1890, main activities are: collecting of meteorological, hydrological and pollution data from own dense network, research in field of meteorology, climatology, agro meteorology, weather  forecast, hydrology etc., the staff includes highly qualified specialists, assistants and associates with wide experience in national and international projects

Role in the DMCSEE Project:

NIMH will prepare climate data and maps, implement drought monitoring system, asses drought vulnerability and risk in Bulgaria, participate at trainings, organize seminars for end users.
